'PEARL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (P.I.F.F) 2016 NOMINATIONS LIST

This is the 6th Edition of the PIFF Awards and the following films were able to make it to the 2016 PIFF Awards competition in over 20 categories; as one of the major comments from the Jury, they stated that this year they were following films with a social cause or social message to compete in most of the categories as below;

 

NOTE: The judgment and decision of which film or personnel wins and takes the award of any of these categories is upon the judges who will be presenting the list of the winners who will be awarded at the Sunday 30th October 2016 Awards Gala at the National Theatre and each award is to be handed to the respective Film Director, Screenplay Writer, Female or Male Actor, Cinematographer, Editor, Sound Personnel, Scorer, Costume Designer, Make Up Artist, Production Designer or any other applicable nominated personnel and fortunately the 6th Edition of PIFF has also given the public a chance to vote for their favorite film, the film to receive the biggest number of votes is to receive “The Viewers’ Choice” Award at the Awards Gala. The voting procedures are to be shared soon at the Festival website www.pearlinternationalfilmfestival.com and the facebook page “Pearl International Film Festival” but meanwhile, here are the Nominees of this year’s competition.

Don’t forget to share this list all around and not to miss attending watching these films at a FREE ENTRY Package at National Theatre and Various Video Halls around the country from Monday 24th to Friday 28th October 2016, the film screening schedule is to be shared soon on the Festival Website, Facebook paged and pinned at respective screening centres, it’s the 6th Edition of the Pearl International Film Festival.

 

The Pearl International Film Festival 2016 Edition Nominees List will be posted here soon right after receiving it from the Judges, for they are currently in the Jury Moment.

JURY MOMENT:

Upon the closure of the submissions, the Judges/Jury are given time to sort, watch, critic and judge the submitted films hence come up with a nomination list by 1st October, 2 weeks prior to the Nomination Night.

During this moment, Filmmakers who submitted their films are communicated to via email, phone call or text for notifications about their submitted films being received as well as asking for digital promotional art works for these movies like Posters, Behind The Scenes Photos and more, those who might have submitted their films but not receive any notification from PIFF will be requested to resubmit their films upon confirmation that they had submitted in time.

Every day of the jury session, one of the submitted films will be given recognition via the PIFF Facebook page, but all submitted Films will be listed at the PIFF Website.

NOMINATION NIGHT:

The PIFF nomination night is to be an invites only event at the selected and communicated venue, each submitted/nominated film is to receive 10 invites given to the director/producer of the movie to invite 10 of his cast and crew people.

A simple documentary video/memory lane about the previous editions of PIFF from 2011 to 2015 will be screened to the audience and a Catalogue of the festival and the program is to be issued out to everyone at the venue. Nomination Certificates are to be issued out to applicable personnel and productions as arranged by the event organizers.

After the nomination night, over the weekend all the Nomination and Festival Program details and updates will be uploaded to the PIFF Website as well as Updating on the PIFF Facebook page and release in the newspapers including other various entertainment blogs.
